YOUTH COVID PROTOCOLS
AS OF AUGUST 21, 2021 - the Town of Manchester has put a MASK MANDATE in place for all indoor public venues. All church Youth activities continue to follow all COVID restrictions.
YOUTH UPDATE (September 27, 2020)
We will be meeting indoor and outdoor depending on the weather!
Beginning Sunday, June 28, 2020, we will begin meeting at the church for youth! We're looking forward to gathering together, but for everyone's safety we need to follow certain guidelines. There will be 2 plans based on weather:
Indoor:
Our normal meeting will take place outside on the back lawn at 6:00 PM. Each youth should bring a chair or blanket to sit on. There will be markers 15' apart where each youth can sit. Masks are to be worn by each youth when arriving until they are seated in a distanced spot, and when leaving to ensure distancing.
When students arrive, individual drinks and snack bags will be available for each student, if they and families are comfortable (if not, we encourage students to bring their own snacks and drinks!). Students will need to sanitize and serve themselves one at a time.
Students will be allowed to go to the restroom one at a time if needed. Sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer will be in the bathroom. We will wrap up with formal youth time around 7:00-7:15 PM. Youth can continue to hang out (distanced) until 8:00 PM if they choose to for a time of fellowship together (youth can be picked up anytime between 7:15 and 8:00 PM).
Outdoor (updated 9/19/20):
In the case of bad weather, the youth will meet inside the church. We will begin at 6:00 PM. Youth will need to wear a mask while indoors but will have plenty of space to be distant inside the worship center.
Food will be served as the students arrive and they will take the food to designated locations where there will be spaced 12 feet apart and can sit and eat without their masks and then put their masks back on and head into the sanctuary.
Once in the sanctuary, properly distanced spots to sit will be designated for seating (siblings may sit together) in alternating rows. Students will be allowed to go to the restroom one at a time if needed Sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer will be in the bathroom. On Sundays where we break into smaller groups, we will be separated into rooms with socially distant seating and positive airflow.
We will wrap up with formal youth time around 7-7:15 PM. Youth can continue to hang out (distanced) until 8:00 PM if they choose to for a time of fellowship together (youth can be picked up anytime 7:15-8:00 PM.
We may be updating our protocol as things change and will notify everyone when we do. Please keep praying as we seek to make decisions that will be safe and encourage everyone in their relationships with Christ!”
